CROC’s Cloud Easily Passes Gilev’s Load Test with New Intel Processors
Thanks to Intel® Xeon® Gold 6244 processors, CROC’s Cloud users will enjoy better performance of resource-intensive applications such as 1C system.
According to CROC Cloud Services, configurations with new processors run more than 30% faster than computing environments built on previous generation processors 1, thus ensuring reliable operation of heavy-load databases.
In the course of migration to a public cloud, some resource-intensive applications used to experience performance degradation. For example, 1C systems that require high processor speed took longer to respond in a virtual environment. Customers tried to increase the number of processor cores on VMs to accelerate such software products, but failed to solve the problem. Using more powerful Intel® Xeon® Gold 6244 processors, CROC Cloud Services managed to ensure the same business system efficiency level as in local infrastructures.
On the CROC Cloud Console, customers can select the desired processor type, along with other computing resources. The new processors are designed to ensure the efficient operation of heavy-load databases and resource-intensive apps without additional configuring. Prior to commissioning, CROC Cloud Services performed Gilev’s 1С load test 2 on virtual machines based on Intel® Xeon® Gold 6244 processors and registered 35.21 points (or ‘Good’ score), which guarantees a comfortable virtual environment for 1С-based business applications.
«With new Intel processors, 1С-like systems start to ‘breathe’ in the cloud. In addition to traditional cloud benefits such as IT cost reduction and flexible scaling, our customers also enjoy the opportunity to use one of key business services at a very high speed,» said Pavel Kolmychek, Head of CROC’s Data Centers.
Intel® Xeon® Gold 6244 belongs to the 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable family designed to create hyper-converged infrastructures, particularly for cloud services. Today, Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors account for 50% of all virtualized environments worldwide and may reach 80% thanks to 5G development by 2024.
