Dell Technologies Recognizes CROC as IT Transformation Leader

2 minutes

At the recent Dell Technologies Forum 2019, CROC was recognized as Partner of the Year: IT Transformation Leader.

This was a way for the vendor to distinguish CROC’s performance since the start of its reboot — a transformation that has helped the company strengthen its position in the market and proceed with new service models based on a business partnership approach.

In late 2017, CROC set out on a transformation journey to remain viable in the future by going beyond the boundaries of conventional IT business. By 2019, the transformation spread throughout the company, with everything from customer relations to corporate culture being reinvented. In particular, CROC shared its new positioning, developed an off-the-shelf product portfolio, and unveiled an ecosystem of partner services comprising startups that have passed CROC Accelerator.

«Last year, the results of CROC’s ongoing transformation turned out to be rather impressive. Given the large number of people involved, we elaborated a fast and effective scrutiny procedure to assess and transform various aspects of our work, like the launch of new businesses, performance of certain business units, and end-to-end processes. Now, it is much easier for us to shape a vision of how these aspects should be transformed in line with CROC’s current needs and the experience of other companies, launch a pilot covering a small group and, if all looks good, go live across the company. As part of our transformation, we also launched CROC Accelerator. During four cycles, a total of about 70 teams passed the acceleration process, while the most successful startups are still working with us on joint projects for CROC customers,» said Valentin Gubarev, Director of Computer Systems Department, CROC.

CROC transformation resulted in two areas of the company’s activities becoming separate business units. CROC Digital Insight accumulates expertise in consulting offered to companies undergoing digital transformation. CROC Cloud Services, another business unit, develops a pool of cloud services, including managed services, off-the-shelf SaaS products, and cloud environments for improving and launching new products.

«Over the last few years, both the role of cloud services for business and customer requirements have changed. Cloud providers are expected to deliver not only quality service set forth in SLAs, but also a proactive approach and expertise in infrastructure management with in-depth understanding of the client’s business. The role of providers has changed too. Former contractors have turned into partners that provide consulting and directions to customers at every stage of the project life cycle — from design to system improvement in the cloud,» said Maxim Berezin, Development Director, CROC Cloud Services.

«People and culture underpin any business transformation. CROC transformation has covered over 90% of employees, with one in seven company specialists being directly involved. One of the fundamental transformation principles was our diversity approach. Project work shows that mixed teams with different backgrounds are extremely efficient. In addition to improving our in-house transformation culture, we also interact closely with the market and apply our experience and knowledge to customers’ businesses,» said Natalia Dyakonova, Director of Telecom Department, CROC.
