Servers with 8-core Intel Xeon Gold 6244 CPUs and higher clock frequency (3.6-4.4 GHz) are used in the dedicated segment. These servers have 40% higher per-core performance compared to basic х86 servers used in CROC Cloud. Optimized server platform and infrastructure software enable 1С apps to run fast scoring 35 points in the Gilev test (1С system performance test).


1С infrastructure is implemented in the Uptime Institute Tier III certified data center. We can also offer the creation of fault-tolerant configuration based on several data centers, data backup to S3 cloud storage, and DBMS clustering.

Is there a guarantee that 1С app server migration from a physical machine to CROC Cloud will cause performance degradation to the minimum extent?
All 1С infrastructure migrations to CROC Cloud complied with customers' performance requirements. The 1С infrastructure uses processors with clock frequency of up to 4.4 GHz, which guarantees system's high performance. You can run Gilev test in CROC Cloud using your actual loads to assess your 1С settings and define performance growth opportunities.
What DBMS is used in the cloud? Are DBMS and apps installed on the same server?
The choice of DBMS depends on the project specifics or the type of DBMS the customer used to employ (available options include MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL). CROC Cloud also offers MySQL, PostgreSQL and Redis on a Database as a Service (DBaaS) basis. The scale of implementation defines whether DBMS and app servers will run on different virtual machines.
Can I work in the cloud if 1С database exceeds 1 TB?
Yes, you can, since CROC Cloud supports up to an 8 TB database per volume and up to 16 volumes per server. Various types of volumes are supported depending on I/O performance your system needs. You can test any of them and select the best configuration.
How to define cloud resources needed for a new 1С installation (not migration case)?
If you plan to deploy 1С in the cloud from scratch, you need to have a proper understanding of the solution configuration, the number of planned users (company headcount and the number of concurrent users), growth prospects, data amount to be processed during certain time, load specifics (many robots, compound cost, etc.), requirements to RTO/RPO, integration, OS and DBMS (Windows/Linux, MS SQL Server/PostgreSQL).
1С cloud installation is constantly losing software licenses. How do you solve this problem?
CROC Cloud employs several pools of servers with processors of different generations. Given that a virtual machine holding licenses can migrate between different servers, the risk of license server failure increases. In one of the projects, in order to avoid this risk, we installed the license server on a physical machine on which we then ran a VM holding keys for users and apps. In addition, we placed two such servers in different data centers. Thus, we got a fault-tolerant physical dedicated infrastructure close to the cloud to guarantee license server recovery in case of failures.
