Korablik Migrates IT Infrastructure and Online Store to CROC Cloud
Korablik, a nationwide children’s product retailer, has migrated its entire infrastructure of 175 stores across Russia (including ERP, CRM, 1С apps, and an online store) to a hybrid cloud powered by CROC Cloud Services. Seamless migration went unnoticed by both users and customers and resulted in uninterrupted and powerful services, allowing for the halving of spending on computing resources over the next five years.
Relocating apps and the online store to the CROC Cloud Services data center is part of the retailer’s business development strategy, including e-commerce operations. The project aimed to accelerate cloud-based services and optimize the total cost of ownership (TCO) for outsourcing infrastructure.
«While 15 leading Russian providers bid for this project, CROC Cloud Services’ proposal was the most compelling in terms of resource utilization and cost, with one option being flexible processing capacity management with 1 GHz step. That alone helped us use server capacity more effectively and deploy business-critical services without extra costs,» said Artem Elizarov, CIO, Korablik.
Korablik’s business apps and client services are running on dedicated equipment in CROC’s data center, with the provider also undertaking to instantly provision public cloud resources during peak loads. Migration was performed in parallel with the network infrastructure upgrade that sped up data transfer between the customer’s offices, warehouses, and CROC’s data center. Now, CROC Cloud Services administers hardware and network solutions and virtualization systems.
